Karen and Ben’s special day was a fusion of multiple cultures.  They incorporated Jewish traditions in their ceremony and reception, Ben wore a Filipino barong, and everyone was served delicious Indian food!  Although it was raining throughout the day, Karen and Ben never let that dampen their spirits.  They were as happy as can be when they were getting ready at the charming Steamboat Inn.  And that joy is even more evident when Ben saw his beautiful bride, who shed a few tears as she saw her handsome groom.  And the day just picked up from there!  It was interesting to witness and capture Jewish wedding traditions such as the Tish and Ketubah signing where the marriage contract is signed by Ben, the rabbi, and his relatives.   Then during the Bedeken (veiling ceremony) Ben adoringly put Karen’s veil over her face, and she in turn put the kippah on him.  They were announced as husband and wife under the beautiful huppah with the breaking of the glass and congratulatory shouts of “mazel tov!”  And the night begin with the Hora and ended with everyone having an awesome time on the dance floor.

Karen and Ben, thank you so much for your kindness and trust.  I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off my wedding season than with your amazing celebration!  And thank you Mike for your assistance with the lights =].
